Minutes of the meeting of 31st January, 2001

| 2. | Squash Section Documentation | Brian Ireland circulated the following:
The committee was very impressed! A few minor alterations were suggested and Brian will present it to the exec for approval. |
| 3. | Club Shop |
Errol and Karen Ferris are seeking approval to open a shop in the club specialising initially in squash, tennis and badminton equipment. This gets the full backing of the squash committee. |
| 4. | Squash Supper | There was some discussion on the best format for the squash supper this year. To be continued at a future meeting. |
| 5. | Squash Section Website |
Paul Heneghan is now officially the webmaster of the squash section website: Paul will be accountable to the committee and will do his best to keep the website up to date. Tony Arthur has offered to host the website (free of charge) on his internet web server. This will be investigated over the next month or so. Action TA, PH |
| 6. | Club Night | Club Night (Thursdays at 19:30) has proved very
popular. It has attracted fairly large numbers of players of all
standards and is now using all three courts.
Another club night notice is needed. Action PH |
| 7. | Court Bookings Abuse | It has been noted that there are many occasions where
courts are booked by members who then fail to turn up. Paul will do
a notice for the downstairs notice board asking people to desist. Persistent offenders will be noted!

| 8. | Club Championship | Paul will do a notice for the club championship. |

Marking Course | It was felt that it would be more appropriate to schedule this for September. |
| 10. | Barbecue | The format of the Barbecue (14th July) was discussed. The idea of a ticketed event which would coincide with the second day of the doubles tournament and the river festival was suggested. To be discussed at a later meeting |
