Rules
- The entry fee is £3.00. Please pay this to one of the organisers (Paul Heneghan, Brian Ireland or Mike Francis) and make sure your name gets ticked off on the list.
- Please get in touch with your opponent to check whether he or she can play at the scheduled time. If there is a problem with the scheduled time, please get in touch with the organisers ASAP. It may be possible to reschedule your match, providing it does not hold up the tournament.
- This competition relies on players making themselves available to mark other matches. Please try to stay on after your matches to mark the next game.
- All matches will be the best of five games, English scoring (i.e. up to 9).
- Remember there is a plate competition for first-round losers. This means you are guaranteed a minimum of two games. The plate may not be open to the seeded players as this might hold up the tournament.
- Please come along and support as many of the matches as you can - particularly the finals on the last Sunday. After the finals, food will be provided in the bar.
- Visit the Club Championship website (http://www.heneghan.co.uk/tourn.html). I will try to update this website every evening, so you can check on peoples' progress through the tournament. It would be great to have some write ups for the matches. If anyone feels inspired, please e-mail me your efforts. Libellous commentaries in particular would be appreciated! The squash content also doesn’t have to be particularly high - anything in the public interest is OK (e.g. the colour of TonyA’s shorts, Jimmy’s athleticism, Russ’s £300 haircut etc.).
- Please phone me (Paul Heneghan, 871565) or e-mail me (paul.heneghan@freenet.co.uk) if you have any queries.
